Full Description

Large shell midden visible in an eroding section face, approx 1.5m length x 0.3m depth.
This midden appears to be sitting on or close to bedrock and is covered by machair sand. Potentially this could date to the Mesolithic. Stratagraphically it is comparible to the Mesolithic midden sites across the bay at Reef (SMR. 1578, SMR.7421 & SMR.149875 ).
