Full Description
During evaluation works ahead of development a buried rubble stone wall was identified in trench 1. The wall was orientated ESE/WNW with a fine white render to the northern elevation. The surrounding silty sand subsoil was noticible for the huge number of cockle shells included within it.
All features and finds indicated an 18th century date. The wall feature remains in situ with only minor impact from the new house.
