Full Description

The structure forms part of the original access track to Morsgail Lodge where it crosses the Fuarail Burn. The structure comprises of four rectangular stone culverts with extended dry stone headwalls to create a raised embankment for the track which passes 3-4 m above the bed of the burn. The four culverts are 7.7 m long with a shallow fall of up to 0.2 m along their length. The culverts have a uniform cross section 0.6 m wide by 0.9 m high and run parallel with a slight offset at a spacing of 0.7 m. The bed, walls and roof of the culverts are of dry stone construction. Above the culverts are dry stone headwalls that extend up for a height of between 2.5-3.0 m on either side of the culverts and along a length of 10 m, to form an embankment on which the track is formed.
