Full Description

Ruined Blackhouse.

The upstanding remains of the blackhouse are recorded on the 1st edition Ordinance Survey map of 1853 and represent part of the earlier township. They appear as a rectangular roofed structure with single annexe on the western wall.
A later structure is also present on the site, comprising of corrugated iron wall and roof appears to relate to the early / mid-20th century.
Both structures are located on a flattish area in between large natural rock outcrops; a small stream is located to the south east.
