Full Description

Two large grass covered mounds located above the loch. The upper mound has the ruined remains of sub rectangular buildings and a boundary wall, comprising of dry stone construction and originally a likely upper turf wall. The lower mound comprises of an irregular grassy surface, indicative of buried stone structures. Other small unidentified drystone structures are also present, possibly indicating a drystores or a kiln.
The ruins on the site appear to indicate a final phase of settlement circa 1800, its origins are currently unknown. There is evidence of lazy beds in the general surrounding area.
This site would benefit from a more detailed survey.
