Full Description

Drystone square enclosure that surrounds an earlier pre-clearance ruined farmstead. This enclosure may have been sited here because of the ready supply of materials from the the existing ruin. A later small square structure in one corner may indicate its use as a stock enclosure, this is further backed up by the irregular surface of its interior due to the ruin. Entrance to the enclosure is at the northern end of the SE facing elevation. Lazy bed field system surrounds this site; however the constuction of this structure has all but levelled this evidence out in the immediate area. Dimensions 36m x 36m x height 1.4m.
Appears on the 2nd ed 6" OS map.
