Full Description

Site of former settlement show on R.Reids map ' A Plan of the Island of North Uist' (1799). The map shows an irregular arrangement of structures annotated 'Scolpig'. This settlement was cleared at some piont between 1800 - 1875. There are no obvious remains of this fomer settlement, however there is a potential that some buildings may have been incorparated into the later farm buildings; in particular the attached byres of Scolpaig House.
