Full Description

The Ross and Cromarty (Isle of Lewis) Sheet 012.14, surveyed 1895 1 to 25 inch to the mile map shows a sluice at this location. The 2nd edition Isle of Lewis Sheet XII does not show a sluice. Field Survey revealed a modern sluiced/dam. No trace of the c19th century sluice was noted.
