Full Description

Blackhouse type structure with three other smaller structures in close association and a small enclosure to the south. The buildings are located in an elevated position on the hillside, located in an area of extensive lazy beds and overlooking the bay to the North, South & West. The blackhouse appaers to have been of a more robust construction to western end, possibly indicating a byre type arrangement to eastern end. Other structure may have been stores. An unidentified small structure located down slope to the north.
This structure appaers to have been deliberatly demolished.
Balds, Map of Harris (1805) indicates a structure in this general location.
