Full Description

Hexagonal stone built kennels with internal brick built partition including central roof support. Additional stone built kennel compartments to SW and SE elevations. Four external kennel run divisions with iron railing to south eastern side with additional three pen enclosure to Sw extent. A single large pen with iron railings abutts the kennel complex to the south east.
Both the lodge and the Kennels are depicted on the 6" 1st ed OS map sheet (1849).
The building is in a ruinous state, lacking a roof, although some roof beams are in place. The structures are heavily overgrown with trees growing within them. An earth embankment obscures the SE side of the large pen.
The hexagonal kennel design is of similar, if not the same as the kennel at Uig lodge (LB19274).
