Full Description

L- Shaped with squared centre, show as roofed on the 6" 1st edition OS map sheet (1849); no annotation. Two other roofed detached rectangular buildings to the SW. 6" 2nd edition sheet shows the original building with an additional rectangular structure directly to the north, all within an enclosuring boundary. Annotated 'Soval Lodge'.
Current building is a 3 bay, 1 & 1/2 storey lodge house, stone built to courses with rendered gables. Domer windows to pitched triple pile slate roof with rendered stacks. Sash windows to front elevation.
Structure to north comprises of 2 semi detached houses; likely to have originally been 4 semi detached houses. Rendered walls and stacks and pitched slate roof, later attached additions to rear.
A later structure is attached to the southern elevation of the original building. This building is a four bay, single storey rectangular building with adjoining passageway. It comprises of painted corragated iron to elevations and roof. Square headed window openings with one bay window to north end and rendered stack to rear. Decorated iron fencing boundary runs parallel to road.
