Full Description

A boat shaped mound of stones located on a low lieing area of a small penisula, adjacent to Dun Stuaidh (SMR1347) promontory fort. There are several issues that raise caution about this feature. It looks extremely clean, there is no vegitation or sediment covering the stones, except around the perimeter. Up until entering this record I have not heard any mention of this site, which I find unusual as it is fairly obvious. The prominantry fort site at the end of the peninsular was previously visited and recorded in 1914 & 1969, neither record mentions this feature, which you would have to pass on your way to the piont.
Dimensions 7m x 1.5m x 0.3m
This feature is possibly an art installation. Further survey and investigation of local knowledge is recommended to ascertain what this is?
