Full Description

Pre-crofting settlement comprising of at least two houses, two enclosures ( one square, one oval) and three other ruined structures that maybe smaller houses or byres. The southern most house appears to be roughly of 'L' plan with possibly 7 compartments. These feature are located at the base of the hillside and overlook the former loch (Liana Horgabost). All features noted are clearly visible on current AP'S. This settlement is also depicted on Balds map as one of three settlements that were located around the loch. Lazy bed cultivation charaterises the whole landscape in this area, with the exception of the machair dunes to the north.
