Full Description

Settlement surrounding a burial ground, comprising of eight roofed buildings, two enclosures and two unroofed buildings & a well. Depicted on the 6" 1st ed Ordnance Survey sheet (1880). Current AP's do not appaer to show any remains of these buildings (other than the burial ground) and they may have been subsumed by the modern settlement; however a survey of the area would be worth while.
The location of the burial ground within the settlement draws parallels with settlements on Pabbay & Mingulay and may hint at an early origin on this part of Eriskay.
