OS 6'map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1904)

Grass-grown rocky mound. No certain trace of dun, but an ideal position. (Also ideal for stone robbing.)
OS 6'map annotated by A L F Rivet, (ass. archaeol officer) 23 November 1959.

Situation as described by Rivet (OS field surveyor). This mound adjoins the S end of a farmhouse. The occupier, Mrs Macauley, states that 'her father remembers seeing earthenware pottery scattered on the ground when the area was cleared to build the present house, and that many stone were also removed'.
Revised at 1/2500 (site only).
Visited by OS (R B) 16 May 1965.

C2: A small flat-topped hill; no traces of any structures at all, and a complete absence of building stone. (Visited 1991)

Site type: site of dun?
Alleged site of totally destroyed 'dun'. A small flat-topped rocky hill. No traces of any structure were visible on it. Observation of a pipe trench cut alongside the eas side of the hill revealed no archaeology at all.
