(NL 6511 9192) Cille Bhride (NR) (Site of) Grave Yard (Disused) (NAT)
OS 6"map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1904)

There are faint traces of the ancient chapel of Cille Bhride in an old burying ground above the shore to the SE of Bagh Ban.
The larger part of the site is occupied by a sheep fank but a corner of its foundations built of stone and lime can be detected.
RCAHMS 1928, visited 11 June 1915.

There is no trace of a chapel or graveyard as the published site. The sheep fank mentioned by the Commission is at NL 6510 9198, to the SE of a depopulated farm settlement, and no trace of the corner foundations of the chapel could be found here. The entire area is one of shifting sand and the remains of the buildings and walling in the area will be completely obscured in the near future.
Visited by OS (N K B) 23 May 1965.

SY65 (NL65129192) Burial ground (Cille Bhride).
Location: North-east sand dunes.
Description: Not located in survey. Whether the cemetery and chapel Cille Bhride was still in use in the early modern period could not be determined by the survey alone, but it is clearly marked as a circular enclosure with an internal building on the 1st edition 6-in. OS map of 1880 - although it is also labelled as 'site of' chapel and 'disused' graveyard. These structures could not be found by the 1915 RCAHMS survey team (see above).
