Full Description
NB00SW 5 04 00.
Two fragments of stone dishes and a double-pointed bone pin (3" long) were found when investigating a sand-heap that a small ruin on the surface had kept from blowing away. The situation was at the Sands of Rath, Taransay (? the sandhills in the area of Corran Raah). The stone dishes (common among the ruins of settlements) are usually less than 2ft sqaure, of undressed stone, with a concavity about the size of a soup plate. Their use is uncertain.
Presented to the NMAS.
