Enclosure
The remains of older structures have been reused in the building of these sheep enclosures. The older structure appears to be 12m in length and is orientated southeast - northwest. It is likely that this feature is the remains of an old, pre enclosure blackhouse

A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, which are annotated as Ruins, and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 23). A series foo enclosures annotated as a Sheep Wash and part of the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
