NB10SW 1 1494 0037.

A stone axe, measuring 5.5" by 2.2" by 1", found when digging the foundations of Mr Cattenach's house at Tarbert (c.NB 147 006), is inow in the possession of Mr Cattenach in Elgin.
Information from NMAS card index (undated).

NB 1494 0037. This axe was found when digging the foundations of the house (named 'Clan Chattan'), which superseded the former 'black-house', in 1922. A, daughter of the late Mr Cattenach recalled the finding of the axe. A son does not now possess the axe, and its present whereabouts is not known.
