Full Description

NB10SW 2 1095 0463.

This structure comprises of two attached small blackhouse type structures, with the remains of a possible third more temporary structure also visible. A 'D' shaped enclosure contains the eastern side of these buildings. The structure is located on the top of a natural ridgeline, presumably a glacial deposit. It stands removed from the main settlement, approximately 170m below to the SSW. Parts of these structures have utilised large natural boulders and it is not as well constructed as the houses below, no obvious window openings were observed. The siting and form of this feature seems to indicate a possible industrial use. It also seems reasonable to assume a relationship with the settlement below it.
This site was only observered in passing and would benefit from a survey.
