(NB 2025 0607) Burial Ground (NAT)
OS 6"map, (1965)

A church of St Rufus in Harris is mentioned by OSA (1794). OPS (1854) interprets this as being a dedication to ST Maelrubha, and locates it apparently, to Maaruig, presumably to the burial ground there, but on what evidence is not stated.
(There seems no reason why the Maelrubha dedication, if it is such, should not apply to the Maelrubha site on Berneray (NF98SW 8)
OSA (written by J MacLeod) 1794; Orig Paroch Scot 1854.

No further information. Burial ground still used.
Visited by OS (N K B) 26 June 1969.
