A dun 'on the shore at Croir'.
F W L Thomas 1890.

'Dunan Chrothair' or 'Doonan Crower' - 'a large space, covered with stones and rocks'.
Name Book 1852.

Dunan Croir, at NB 2760 4953, is a small but prominent rock and boulder strewn knoll. There is no evidence of any artificial construction. Not an antiquity.
