Potsherds, probably Neolithic, from under a cairn near Loch Beag an Tanga, Toristay, Lochs (Grid. ref. 19/382196) were presented by the finder, Kenneth MacKinnon, to the NMAS. The decorated vessel has an estimated rim diameter of 11.5 ins.

The findspot of these sherds was pointed out on the ground, at NB 3822 1954, by Mr MacKinnon, amongst a pile of boulders tumbled from an adjacent low cliff. Not a cairn.
They were denoted in 1949 or 1950 but Mr MacKinnon could not remember exactly when they were found.
