Midden material is still visible on the north side of the road, at NB 3823 5514, about a foot below the surface, but there is no dating evidence.

SABS 59: Midden

This midden was cut through during work on the road in 1924…This road is the same track way that served the old settlement, and as such cuts past the ruined houses and enclosure walls. The sides of the track are now grassed over.
