'A grassy mound c5m in diameter with some embedded stones around the perimeter. A small stone and grass mound, c1m in diameter, is located on the N end of the mound.'
MS/595/3, p. 2, No. T9.
The NE quadrant of the cairn was excavated to establish its character and date. It was shown to be a field clearance cairn about 4m in diameter, constructed some time after initial cultivation of the hillside, probably as represented by relict lazy-bedding had taken place; and therefore probably contemporary with the later years of occupation of the farm at Allt Chrisal [NL69NW 7.06] (early 19th century).
The only artefacts recovered were in the hill-wash over the cairn: a flint flake and a clay pipe fragment.
