Two shielings, built of peat moss sods and stones, inhabited for about six weeks in the summer.
Name Book 1851.

(The OS 1:10,000 map of 1973 shows the name, but no detail, at NB 181 246).

Three unroofed shieling-huts are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1853, sheet 31), but they are not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
