SY 8: Remains of an oval stone house, 7 x 5m, with orthostat wall 70-90cms high; Iron Age ? Traces of a later, smaller hut inserted.

SY8 (NL63269245) Complex of shelter and stone setting.
Location: Coastal spur out to sea.
Description: Oval shelter of piled stones with associated linear stone settings and a possible enclosure wall.
Note: The possible enclosure wall on the west side of this complex has been undercut by wave action and is displaced on the foreshore bedrock. Further erosion of this site is to be expected. Minor excavation produced a small quantity of struck flints.
