Cnoc a' Chaisteal: a small, rocky, heathy hill on which there are neither the ruins nor the site of a castle.
Name Book 1876

Local information (Communn Eachdraidh Charlabhagh) suggest that this is a mis-transcription of a similar Gaelic name. There is no tradition of a castle anywhere in the vicinity of the cnoc. MML 29.10.99
