Deserted township, planned by I A Crawford on behalf of the School of Scottish Studies.

A township, comprising twenty-five unroofed buildings, one of which is the church (see NB13SE 3) and sixteen enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1854, sheet 18). Five unroofed buildings and seven enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
