A number of small villages of 18th-century or earlier origin and deserted in the 19th-century were planned by I A Crawford [on behalf of the School of Scottish Studies]. Those on Loch Fynort (sic:presumably a misprint for Loch Eynort) were Rubha na Meinneag, Airigh nam Baine, Port Skeig, Rubha Clach and Baile Uachdrach. [None of these names appear on OS Maps.]
