Full Description

S4: Rough boulder wall which shuts off a small headland, on which there is a fern-covered mound with no sign of building stone and apparently little depth of soil. The wall is c. 12m long, 1m wide, and is roughly faced on the mainland side, backed with an earth bank and traces of a ditch on the headland side. Too insubstantial to have a defensive purpose. Flanked by deep inlets, and eroding as a result of wave action.
