MY6. Oval hut, 3 x 2.5m, wall consisting of a single row of mainly upright stones, with an annex or protected yard to the E and a small annexe to the W. Prehistoric?

MY6 (NL57158371) Shieling complex.
Location: Plateau bench on hillside.
Description: Oval single cell with wind shield and store annexe.
Note: Damaged from extensive rabbit burrowing. Excavation with a trench across the southern part of the structure did not produce any material finds except some rusted fragments of what may have been a bucket. Report in SEARCH volume 6.

Location: As above.
Description: Oval, 3.5 x 3 m, single cell of placed stone with entrance to west opening into area protected from the wind by an extension (c) westward of the southern ring-wall. To the east a curved wall extending east from the southern ring-wall forms a single-cell open-ended (north) annexe (b) of similar proportions and construction to the main shelter..
