Full Description
NL69NW 7.31 6461 9757 and 6462 9756
T49: (NL 6461 9757). A stone-built irregular structure, 12.5 x 8m, much damaged. It appears to be multi-cellular, possibly adapted from an earlier structure. The stones are not well-embedded. Fishermen's shelter and store?
T50: (NL 6462 9756). To SE, a very similar structure, 12 x 8m, with a small 1.75m square shelter superimposed in the central area.
K Branigan and P Foster 1995; NMRS, MSS. 595/3 and 595/6.
17.Rubha Glas
Site Type:Celluar structure
An irregular structure,12 x 8m,built of water rounded boulders with four or five 'cells',with a 1.75m square shelter set into the largest cell.
Branigan and Grattan p.27.
18.Rubha Glas
Site Type:Celluar structure
An irregularm structure,12.5 x 8m,built of water rounded boulders, with three or four visible'cells'.It is tempting to place both of these structures(18 and 18 ) in a mid first millennium AD context, but they seem to be too upstanding, well preserved, and unembedded to be of great antiquity.
Branigan and Grattan p.27
