Full Description

NF60NE 2 6965 0873 to 6983 0858.

(NS 6965 0873) Approximate position of ruined cairns or buildings - 1957.
Information from C F Tebbutt, 1959.

Two separate sites. Large, low turf-covered piles of large stones. Not modern buildings as the rig-and-furrow partly overrides them.
OS 6"map annotated by A L F Rivet 19 November 1959.

No trace of the ruined buildings could be found in the area centred on NF 6965 0873, which is coverd by rock outcrop and many boulders, but at NF 6983 0858 there is a long low mound of turf-covered stones, probably field-clearance.
Visited by OS (R B) 23 May 1965.
