Full Description

NF66SW 6 6281 6192.

(Area: NF 629 620) Crois Shivinish, a concial mound near the centre of Shivinish Island, Heisker, is the probable site of a cross.
E Beveridge 1911.

E Beveridge (1911) is probably referring to the rocky pinnacle at NF 6281 6192. There is no evidence of a cross on its summit, where there is only a slight gathering of stones, probably in association with the trig. station. The name "Crois Shivinish" could not be confirmed. Visited by OS (W D J) 18 June 1965.
