(NF 6965 7069) Site of Cladh Chotain (NR) (Burial Ground)
OS 6"map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1904)

E Beveridge (1911) was unable to identify this site, nor could he trace the former existence of a chapel other than a walled enclosure containing a group of small cairns (see NF67SE 4).
Nothing on the ground, but a small hollow appears to be the site of a hut said to be the habitation of an old poet called 'Choan', thus "Choan's burying place". (Name Book 1878)
E Beveridge 1911; Name Book 1878.

No trace of a burial ground or chapel remains. The land is now under the plough.
Visited by OS (W D J) 19 June 1965.
