Full Description

NF67SE 6 6973 7057.

(Area : NF 697 706) A kitchen-midden was discovered about 600 yards S. of An Caisteal (NF67SE 3) in the bank above the west shore of Traigh nam Faoghailean. It contained many fragments of pottery and a few bones and shells, but no apparent evidence of any structure.
E Beveridge 1911.

Slight traces of a probable shell or kitchen midden were located in the vertical face of the sandy bank above the shore at NF 6973 7057. A considerable quantity of shells was noted, but no bones or pottery. Visited by OS (W D J) 19 June 1965.

Erosion in winter 2002 revealed that this site is continuous with midden site smr no. 567 & Ard a Runair smr no. 572
