Two brass brooches from the island of Eriskay, S Uist, were donated to the NMAS by the Rev. Canon Macintosh, through John Bruce, FSA Scot. One is "composed of a circular flat band slightly levelled and plain, 2 1/4 inches in diameter, pin wanting."
The other is " 1 3/4 inches in diameter, composed of a circular flat band ornamented with straight lines across the band in relief."
(It is not stated if they were found together.)

The Rev Canon Macintosh is not known on Eriskay; no further information was obtained.
Visited by OS(JTT) 18 May 1965.

EF 41: Two bronze brooches, could be prehistoric, although later dates are also possible.
Impact Description: The location of this find spot is unclear, and it is not known whether associated remains could be affected.
