NF72NW 7 7449 2713.
(Area NF 744 270) A group of 4 hut circles is situated about 100 yards south of the dun in Loch Greanabreck,South Uist (see NF72NW 6) on a shelf of ground between the loch and a bank which rises 6 to 10ft above it. The largest is almost circular, being 16 1/2ft. internally NE/SW and 15ft NW/SE with the entrance towards the SE. About 34 yards to the SE there is an oval foundation, 8ft by 6ft, with an impinging structure on the south, 5ft by 4ft. In 1914, some of the circles were overgrown with grass but the stones of the largest stood 1 to 1 1/2ft above ground. RCAHMS 1928.
Centred NF 7449 2713. A group of four circular structures, probably shielings, formed by very slight, turf-covered, stony banks. They vary in size from 5.4m diameter to 2.0m diameter. The oval foundation c 34 yards to the SE was not located.
Surveyed at 1/2500.
