Dun Shunish lies on the left bank of a sluggish stream, in marshy ground to the west of Knockamonie, Benbecula. Only a heap of stones, 33 1/2ft in diameter and 3ft high, remains.
RCAHMS 1928.
Above confirmed. A turf-covered bank c.8.0m diameter, 1.7m wide and 0.3m high surmounting a slight mound.
Surveyed at 1/2500.
Visited by OS (J T T) 27 May 1965.
