NF76NW 7 71 69.

The settlement at Balranald, of which the tacksman's house alone remains, seems to have been associated with a dun or other earlier occupation on or near the site. The name is first mentioned in 1505 and appears on Blaeu's Atlas, c.1600. It was still extant at the time of the Reid Estate survey in 1799.
