Abstract/Summary

University of Edinburgh, Dept of Archaeology, project paper no 5 First seasons excavations at Loch Olabhat and North Uist revealing prehistoric settlement centred around the two islands of Eilean Olabhat and Eilean Domhnuill. Eilean Dolabhat revealing iron age pottery and remants of other hebreidean dark age sites. Whilst Eilean Domhnuill revealing neolithic pottery and deposits of organic preservation. The importance of the excavation work has allowed for the classification and dating of mnay other Hebridean sites.
