Site Event/Activity record EWE185 - Clibh Thall Excavation

Program of archaeological work ahead of pre- application development for a dwelling. This excavation was the culmination of DBA & Evaluation works in 2014. The excavated structure appears to have been a much denuded & robbed domestic structure reused and occupied between the 13th - 17th centuries. It is likely to have had low stone walls lined with turf and may have had phases of alteration. It is probable that the site was reused as a temporary shelter post-abandonment.
