NB46SE 27.05 centred on 4860 6140

An extensive crofting township, which appears to have replaced an earlier township (see NB46SE 27.02), is aligned on the road which appears to have replaced the head-dyke is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
Four roofed buildings and one enclosure all of which are attached to the the head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 3). These four building may represent the intial phase of the development of this new crofting township.
