Description

Watching brief on Scottish Water improvement works. At North Dell the monitoring identified struck lithics from the spoil of the already completed portion of an access road. This suggests that some archaelogical deposits may be present in the immediate area. The access road runs across a sloped field of land that levels out towards the southeast. The field contains rig and furrow of an uncertain age that run on a northeast to southwest alignment. At South Bragar the pipe line extension in the tidal flat showed little promise of any archaeological deposits, and none were exposed during the monitoring works.
